Mister Moses plot
"Joe Moses is his name...stealing Africa is his game!"
Joe Moses (Robert Mitchum) is a jewelry smuggler from America, who finds himself in Africa to cheat the local population. It soon becomes apparent that the locals are a lot smarter than Joe thinks. When his deception becomes apparent, they throw him into the river, from which he is eventually rescued by Julie Anderson (Carroll Baker), the daughter of a priest. The people of the village where the priest lives are threatened by a flood when a municipal official wants to build a new dam. The population does not want to leave because they are not allowed to take their animals with them. To make people happy, Joe does tricks that make people think he is the Moses from the bible. Julie convinces him that he must convince the people to leave the village before the area is flooded.
