Mir Nach, Canaillen! plot
Lieutenant Lübbenau wants to take over the shepherd Alexander from Hanoverian, close to the border with Prussia, and have him recruited by the Prussian army. However, the shepherd manages to overpower the lieutenant and capture him. Alexander only wants to release the lieutenant on one condition. The man must impersonate his father. This way Alexander can move quietly through Prussia and take a look at his new possession. He especially has his eye on Ulrike, his new 'sister'.
