Les Aventuriers des Mers du Sud plot

1890. After a serious lung condition, 40-year-old Robert Louis Stevenson and his wife Fanny decide to live on the island of Upolu, in the Samoa archipelago. The writer and his wife live on their estate in harmony with the local population and Stevenson finds new inspiration there. However, under the influence of a German firm that wants to take over the coconut market, the colonial government has brought a mock sovereign to power and the inhabitants of their land are driven out.
