Interventsiya plot

In the aftermath of the Russian civil war, Odessa has not yet fallen for communism. Brodsky is a communist propagandist wanted by the police and military. Zhena is a wealthy woman who hopes to escape Odessa before the Bolsheviks take over. She falls in love with Sasha, who has communist sympathies, but is willing to forget them if his gambling debts are undone.
