I Cavalieri del Diavolo plot

Intrepid nobleman Richard Stiller and his band of cronies return to the land of their youth after fighting the war against Spain. His greatest motivation for returning is to reunite with Louise, his childhood sweetheart. Unfortunately, he finds Valence's court in a state of disarray. The heretical Duke of Varse and his cunning accomplice Elaine have been able to usurp power by artifice and covet the duchy. This is currently still managed by Henry, Louise's brother, who hates Richard wholeheartedly.
