Five children in Prague hear over the radio about the fate of a Russian icebreaker who got stuck in the drift ice. Spontaneously they decide to save the sailors. They leave for an expedition to the Arctic. Their concerned parents naturally sound the alarm when the children go missing and a search is launched to find them now.
