Daphne and the Pirate plot
Daphne La Tour is the daughter of a poor French nobleman in the early 18th century. Philip de Mornay is the favorite in the king's court and can have any woman he wants. He has his sights set on Daphne and orders his men to kidnap her and take her to the house of Franchette, a popular madam. But before he can win her over, Philip must flee and is captured by pirates. In the meantime, soldiers raid the house of Madam Franchette. The soldiers are looking for women to send to Louisiana because there is a shortage of women there.
