During World War II, Jeff Caighn and Carola Ballister are among the few survivors of a plane crash. Carola's wife Clyde did not survive the accident. In a suitcase belonging to a fellow passenger, who is absent, Jeff and Carola find four wills, each worth more than one million dollars, that were to be paid to this man. Carola and Jeff, who has fallen in love with the widow, work together to ensure that this money is paid out to them. When they have almost succeeded, the owner of the suitcase suddenly shows up, claiming that he is a spy for the Nazis and that he wants to flee to Germany with the money.
