Come On, Leathernecks! plot

Jimmy Butler is the star of the US Naval Academy football team and has no intention of following in his father's footsteps and staying in the Navy. In addition, he has already signed a contract to play professional football. Lieutenant Henry Dolan is a close associate of Colonel Butler, and he has Jimmy come over to the naval base in San Diego to personally inform his father of his future plans. However, Colonel Butler is not present and has been sent to a Philippine island to round up a gang of gun smugglers. Jimmy will have to choose whether to help his father or let his personal preference take precedence.
