Barrage sur l'Orénoque plot

After her husband's sudden death, Dominique Vallorie accepts to take over from him the task of building a dam on the Orinoco in Venezuela. On the spot she soon realizes that it will be a lot more difficult than she thought. Not only is the American competition particularly strong, but it also feels threatened. Was her husband's death an accident or was it murder? A love affair develops between her and Pablo when she discovers she is pregnant by her late husband.
