Leo Fisk is a con man who is on safari in Australia. There he meets a young widow with a daughter and a cute koala bear. Little by little, he lets go of his bad habits and together they meet an unknown native tribe. If he gives them a concoction that brings 'instant' happiness, they think they can make a financial hit.
