Uzumasa Raimuraito plot
Seizô Fukumoto, 71, is Japan's preeminent kirareyaku, a swordsman whose job it is to die in front of the camera as spectacularly as possible. After a career spanning fifty years, in which he reportedly died no less than 50,000 times in fiction, he plays his first leading role in Uzumasa Limelight: as Kamiyama, an aging kirareyaku. Kamiyama is widely respected for his impressive death scenes, in which he regularly bends his body at a 90-degree angle. But physical discomfort and the declining popularity of samurai dramas are increasingly playing tricks on him.
