"Heroism runs deep."
September 1944. Horatio Culpepper, captain of the USS Seaviper submarine, is assigned to rescue a downed American plane near Sumatra. The pilot and two escaped American prisoners are rescued from a nearby island. But the Germans and Japanese have also been spotted on the island. They discover that the Germans have turned a U-234 minelayer into a long-range submarine and they are carrying a deadly payload for the Japanese. When they are discovered by the Germans, they are badly hit. Will the badly damaged Seaviper be able to reach the surface and thwart the enemy's plans?
