Underverden plot
Zaid is a successful surgeon. He lives in a luxury apartment with his pregnant girlfriend. One night Zaid's younger brother, Yasin, knocks on his door. He asks his brother for money. Zaid refuses. A few days later, Yasin is attacked and killed. Since the police are not very helpful, Zaid is forced to find out who the perpetrator is. He embarks on a mission to eliminate all criminal gangs in Copenhagen. He disguises himself and soon ventures into the underworld. His ongoing battle has serious consequences for Zaid and his family. Is this the price he's willing to pay for revenge?

Seen yesterday at the Leiden International Film Festival.
Raw, cold revenge film that takes its time to build up the story and takes you along well, without actually being boring.
At its core it is a dime a dozen revenge film, but it is well executed, thanks to the good atmosphere the film creates, the character developments and the convincing acting.
There were a small number of action scenes, but they suffered a bit from the 'Steven Seagal effect'. It seemed like busy camera work and accelerated playback. So they didn't turn out so well.
Images, on the other hand, looked good. The soundtrack did its job, but wasn't necessarily special.
A nice rush to see how the main character continues to work his way up the ladder, eventually coming face to face with the bigwig, supported by strong secondary scenes that give the main character's motives more and more weight .
So had a great time with this film.
