"The Terror Beneath Plants the Seeds of Man's Destruction"
Kate and Joe are environmentalists. They witness the extremely rapid growth of a gigantic system of plant roots, literally cutting their way across the land, producing the same effect as an earthquake. Agent Jack Taylor hires plant expert Jocelyn Snow. She discovers that a former colleague probably knows more about the ecological disaster.
