The Gorge plot
"The world's most dangerous secret lies between them."
An American and a Russian elite soldier operate in a corrupt and deadly world. Both are young and dangerous and seem to have found their soul mate in each other. They are assigned the mysterious mission of guarding an impenetrable ravine. Neither is aware of what is happening below them.

I give it the same points as a well-known newspaper, who have no complaints about the acting, but find it a rather dull and rather stupid film. The film is called The Gorge, and honestly there is a serious gap between this terrible film and a good, fascinating film.
Ideal if you can't sleep after a hard day, put this on and it's done in no time, this will be quickly forgotten and rightly so....rubbish
Two men against hundreds of monsters, no problem. Took lessons from Mr T of The A-team for sure....

Never heard anything about this film, but what a pleasant surprise. The build-up and chemistry between the main characters is really mapped out separately. The emphasis is on this in the first hour with some action and in the build-up to the second half you are treated to more action and the setting is beautifully fairytale-like depicted.
Just enjoy watching and avoid the trailers.

If you like old-fashioned tough men and even tough women, you should watch this movie. A handsome man and a beautiful woman sit opposite each other in watchtowers along a ravine. You can't see what's in the ravine because there are always clouds hanging around. But every now and then strange men climb up from the ravine and it is the task of both parties to kill these men without hesitation. For this they use an arsenal of weapons and explosives. Why they don't just put up electric fencing along the edge of the ravine remains a question. It is only men who climb out of the ravine and no children or women. Why not all the men have been killed in the meantime is not clear to me. Defending is not without danger so why there is only one guard per side in a tower seems strange. Especially because there is a chess game in each tower. You have to play that with two people, don't you? There are enough supplies and fresh vegetables can be picked from the vegetable garden. In the vegetable garden there are a few dead tomato plants with a handful of tomatoes. That should be enough for the entire year that they have to spend there. The man and the woman start communicating by writing texts that they can read from each other with binoculars. The woman uses large notepads for this, of which there are apparently a lot. She uses a thin pen with which she can draw very large letters that are always precisely centered on the paper. Eventually they end up in the chasm and will it be okay then? What do you think? Illogical tough men action film with a simple story. But the leading actress is a very beautiful woman and that alone is worth watching.
