The Deputy plot

In the middle of the night, part-time officer Toby Sawyer is awakened by Police Chief Krueger to guard a body until the coroner arrives. An hour later, the body mysteriously disappears. Though an unlikely hero, Toby's frantic search for the body uncovers decades of misconduct, a truckload of immigrants, a freezer full of cash, vengeful siblings, and several officers who turn a blind eye. Officer Amanda Jackson seems the only one he can trust.
