The Crimson City plot

"Glorious Romance on the China Coast!"

An Asian woman named Onoto is rescued from slavery by a fugitive of European descent named Gregory Kent. The two quickly fall in love, but their difference of origin seems to make the romance evaporate. Onoto decides to leave Kent so he can marry someone else.
