Tarô! Tokyo Makai Taisen plot

Tarô (Hideki Fujiwara) is a high school student with a love for music. When scouted during a performance and invited for a recording, supersonic sound waves knock him off his feet. What Tarô doesn't know is that Scout Katsurugi and her boss Takamatsu are members of a secret religious organization called Shinki-kai. The Shinki-kai wants to use an ancient technique to resurrect an at least as old monster from the spirit world. The cult has learned that Tarô is a descendant of the Japanese folk hero Momotarô, who defeated the same monster centuries ago. The cult wants to kill Tarô, and in this way take revenge on Momotarô.
