Shootout at Wadala, based on the book 'Dongri Dubai' by S. Hussain Zaidi, tells the story of the rise of notorious Indian mobster Dawood Ibrahim (Sonu Sood) and his rivalry with Manya Surve (John Abraham). During the first-ever confrontation between the Mumbai police and Manya Surve, which took place on November 1, 1982 at the Vidyalankar technological institute, Surve is shot and killed.
