Saint Hubert plot

During a large-scale police search in the oldest nature park of the Belgian East Cantons, officers collide with a local forest ranger. He is not pleased with the unforeseen guests and the confrontation escalates from bad to worse. The forester protects 'his' area with heart and soul and does everything possible to keep the intruders as far away as possible.

As if they were looking for the escaped Marc Dutroux in the East Cantons. No forest ranger becomes the hero of the day by lending a helping hand to the police. Things turn out a bit differently, with the forester having developed a kind of resentment towards anyone who disturbs his forest.

Nice role by Wim Opbrouck who is perfectly cast for the role of a forest ranger. Wouter Hendrickx also does a fine job and once again proves to be a good actor. The story itself is a bit stupid and thin. The plot refers to the legend of Saint Hubertus who, while hunting, was confronted by a deer with a cross between its antlers. Since then, Saint Hubertus is now known as the patron saint of hunting.
