"This time, they've brought their guns to the city."
Quirky undercover cop Buster (Kiefer Sutherland) witnesses a brutal murder of Hank's stubborn brother of a Native American family. The mafia gang loots an invaluable ancient spear. The injured Buster is repaired by Hank because Buster is the only one who knows who committed the murder... Buster wants to go after the brutal gang in his own way and doesn't want to cooperate with Hank. But in the heat of battle, their friendship grows and together they decide to catch the killer and recapture the family trophy.

Mediocre story and the film is not great in terms of execution. Still, I enjoyed myself, because there are still quite a few nice scenes in the film. However, just not enough to give this film a satisfactory rating.

Trust me, i'm the indian out here
I wasn't too bad, but then again I'm a fan of Kiefer Sutherland. The time-tested recipe from the eighties is back: two completely different men must work together to find a bastard who stole a valuable spear. In the list of buddy movies we hadn't had cop versus Indian yet. Furthermore, a lot of violence, a long car chase and a bit of humor. Thankful role for Jami Gertz. Final number is by Bryan Adams. Good to have seen if you don't have too high expectations; Renegades otherwise does not have a high revision value.

At the time enjoyed as excellent video fodder, within the booming buddy movie genre at the time. This is helped by fine roles from Sutherland and Philips, a good villain and plenty of action. The ending is, of course, predictable. But everything has just been thought out a little better. Minuses are those moments that stretch the credibility a lot. For example, there is a jump of 10 meters high and nothing is broken. Furthermore, a gunshot wound is recovered very quickly. Nice is that Philips and Sutherland as characters are evenly matched and complement each other well. Sufficient pace makes this a very entertaining police film.
