Possessed by the Night plot

"Control. Once you lose it, you'll kill to get it back."

Writer Howard Hansen suffers from a so-called writer's block. There is no letter on paper while he does feel the hot breath of his publisher on his neck. Then, when he is out for a walk, he finds a kind of embryo monstrosity in spirits. He takes it home and puts it in the study. Then Howard and his wife's life takes a dramatic turn. His wife thinks the monstrosity is taking control of their lives, but Howard doesn't want to hear about this at first. In the end, even their lives are in danger.
