Pat Mallory's father, a shopkeeper, is murdered by a gang of blackmailers who wanted to 'protect' him for a fee. The feisty Pat wants to bring the killers to justice. She can count on the help of Police Lieutenant "Slicker" Nixon in her mission. Nixon goes undercover to gain the trust of the blackmailers.
