"Introducing the most extraordinary gorilla in the world."
Fifteen-year-old Wei-wei is left alone with her gorilla Ling Ling when her grandfather dies. Her grandfather ran a circus and had trained Ling Ling to play baseball and he has remarkable abilities when it comes to hitting balls . Manager Choong-Soo Sung hears about Ling Ling and offers the gorilla a contract to play in the Korean premier league. Weiwei and Ling Ling travel to Korea full of hope, and Ling Ling soon becomes a baseball sensation. However, a competing team manages to bring in a gorilla named Rating.
