Mask of Dust plot
"Where every curve cries DANGER... One wrong move spells DEATH!"
Former successful American race car driver Peter Wells wants to compete again in auto racing since his resignation as a pilot from the Air Force. However, Peter is pressured by his wife Patricia, who is concerned for his safety. Patricia wants her husband to retire from racing and his auto mechanic and best friend 'Pic' Dallapiccola to retire. Wells also feels the pressure of Guido Rosetti, a young rival from his Corsi race team. Guido thinks that Peter can no longer control his nerves. Shortly before an important race match and after a conflict between Peter and Pic, Pic is involved in a serious car accident. Peter, who still wants to reconcile with Pic before he dies, therefore leaves the Grand Prix early, which leads to anger at his Corsi boss Tony Bellario.
