In ancient China, where the seven superpowers battle each other, Yen Feier (Kelly Chen) is suddenly forced to succeed her father when he is killed in battle. She and her loyal friend Muyong Xuehu (Donnie Yen) try to defend her kingdom. However, Wu Ba, an ambitious cousin, has other ideas and wants to make Yen Feier disappear. A mysterious man saves Feier from her demise. She falls in love with this man, who also offers her a completely different life. With the fate of the kingdom in her hands, the young heiress must make an important decision.
