Tip: don't watch this if you haven't seen the first movie. It continues with the characters and to understand the story you need the backstory of the first movie.
As a fan of Travolta I watched this one. And he plays again as I know him, with the necessary charisma, although he is not getting any younger. If you are not a fan of this actor, you better not watch it. Yesterday I watched the first Cash Out from 2024 because this part 2 was available in my teletheek. I had not heard anything about either film, so that says something. But the trailer of this film made me curious. I thought part 1 was a cheap B-film, which was a clone of Casa del Papel and did not reach that level in the slightest.
Part 2, this one, I found much better. Probably more budget and the actors also did much better. Where part 1 was rather soulless with little tension and action, there is a bit more tension in this film. However, the action still seems cheap. Now tries to be a kind of Ocean's Eleven, but for that it is all worked out a bit too simple. But the soundtracks are good, the atmosphere is ok and the setting too. Only the bad guys on duty try to play the gangsters in a somewhat clichéd way, which is less successful.
But again, already a lot better than the first film.
Still not a top one, but I didn't get bored with this one.
Gave the first one 2.5*, this one 3*.
But I am somewhat privileged because I like watching Travolta. The film will certainly not appeal to everyone. But if your expectations are not too high, you can still digest this.
