Guns, Drugs and Dirty Money plot

Michael Steel is a cartoonist who reads the first issue of his comic book to his 10-year-old nephew. At the start of the strip, the reader is immediately 'absorbed' into the violent underworld of Detroit, where mafia hitman Nino Capazo - who is looking forward to his approaching retirement - is out for revenge on New York crime boss Benito Fontaine. Doomed to die, on the run, and with no one else to count on, Capazo enlists the help of his former crime partner Rio. There's only one problem: Rio is currently under lock and key at Jackson State Prison.
