On the eve of the Gulf War, in the middle of the Iraqi desert, a group of American archaeologists find a mysterious sarcophagus bearing the name of the Babylonian God of Death Tel-Al. The find, under the watchful eye of Sgt. John Cross, opened, unaware that this frees the demon from its centuries-long captivity. Tel-Al sows chaos and destruction in the desert, while the wife of one of the archaeologists gives birth to a child. That child is immediately kidnapped by a mysterious woman who disappears into the dark desert night. Twelve years later, LA is rocked by a series of brutal murders that have one thing in common: a drug called "Chaos" has been found in the blood of all the victims. Kross investigates and meets the woman from the desert, Selene.
