Deadlines plot

Young reporter Alex Randal (Stephen Moyer), who relies on bravado rather than experience, travels to Beirut in 1983 following the bloody attacks on the US Marine base and the barracks of the French commandos. In the chaos, he meets the beautiful Julia Muller (Anne Parillaud), a mysterious photographer. Julia is like Beirut: nothing about her is what it seems. This attractive but self-destructive woman gives Alex a tip for a story that he only half checks in his enthusiasm. He made headlines worldwide when he revealed that a murdered Lebanese army officer was an Israeli spy.
