Billions of people have died after contracting a mysterious zombie virus. Many others have been transformed into bloodthirsty zombies. A special team, led by Kyle Walker, moves to Terminal City, the city where the outbreak originally took place. They go in search of a group of scientists who may have found an antidote. Along the way they fight against the zombies.
