Reasonable thriller. The story is a bit far-fetched and has a surprising twist. The effect is reasonable. The structure is good and the plot develops slowly, but the film remains interesting until the end. As a viewer you remain curious about how exactly the fork fits into the handle. As mentioned, the twist is surprising, but it does call into question the storyline of the rest of the film, which is a shame. The acting is solid. Visually quite successful with some spicy images and a consistently good atmosphere. 3.0

Oh this is so bad.

It's mainly the weak script that hangs together from improbabilities. Apparently the makers noticed that too, and that's why they thought they could just use the same twist twice. As if it would be better that way.

Add to that Samuel L. Jackson in his umpteenth disinterested role, Cassel who apparently really couldn't find anything better and a bunch of actors who were looking for a side job after a TV production that was rejected by the BBC, and that's how it comes across.

Director McDonough comes from the television production, and has quite a few appealing titles on his list. Until you scratch your head and look at what he actually directed, and it turns out to be no more than 1 or 2 episodes. That's not the same as a film, and that's also evident.
