Criminal Lawyer plot

Criminal lawyer Barry Brandon visits the nightclub of Denny Larkin, his main client, with spoiled society girl Betty Walker. The police raid the club and Brandon pleads that the entire group is guilty just to get revenge on Larkin for being reprimanded. On the same night, Madge Carter stands trial for disorderly conduct. Brandon volunteers to defend her and wants to prove the case against her is a ruse. Brandon notices that she is penniless and hires her as his secretary and falls in love with her.
