Chae-po-wang plot
"Protect and serve, and... ARREST!"
The nearby Mapo and Seodaemun police stations in Seoul are often compared, and this is one of the reasons why a rivalry has developed between the two. Mapo's commissioner is Jae-Sung Hwang, who uses whatever seems necessary to him to catch crooks. To outdo Mapo, Seodaemun appoints Wei-Chan Jung, a graduate of a prestigious police academy, as commissioner. Then a prize is offered to whoever manages to arrest the most criminals that year, with a prize of thirty million won. Hwang is eager to win this one because he was never allowed to graduate from the police academy and as a result never got a promotion; Jung desperately needs the money because his girlfriend just got pregnant. The rivalry heats up, but when a serial killer takes over in both districts, Hwang and Jung will have to work together.
