Boudica plot

"Warrior. Mother. Queen."

The Celtic queen Boudica rules the Iceni tribe alongside her husband Prasutagus. But the king is betrayed and killed by the Roman soldiers, leaving the kingdom without a male heir to the throne. Meanwhile, the Romans take Boudica's land and property. She doesn't stop there and gathers the tribes from the region to take revenge.

The film starts very weakly with a number of scenes that are not convincing. As soon as the fighting starts it gets a little better - not good, that's for sure, but it really makes a difference. And Kurylenko looks a bit lost at first, but that also clears up once the woad appears.

In the meantime, it is best to read the Wikipedia about Boudica during the film. The numbers mentioned there are quite staggering - 230,000 rebels under Boudica, compared to less than 10,000 Romans. And something like 80,000 civilian casualties, too. The Iceni did not care about human life, that is clear - and that is somewhat reflected in the film. It would be interesting to keep a body count during the film, but unfortunately, I quickly lost count. Your fingers aren't really enough, so to speak.
