"The Fight That Created The Legend"
The infamous 1960s fight between young Bruce Lee and legendary Northern California kung fu master Wong Jack Man, from the point of view of a young college student whose loyalty to both fighters is tested. Birth of the Dragon is story-wise a bit of a slow film, but the action scenes capture this well. It's not all very high, but somehow I was able to enjoy it.

Steve McKee [Billy Magnussen] is an early American pupil of Bruce Lee [Philip Ng] who against his better judgment decides to take on dangerous criminals who are holding his new girlfriend [Jingjing Qu] on his own. Meanwhile, Bruce Lee finds himself face to face with Wong Jack Man [Yu Xia], one of his mentors, when Lee's approach to Martial Arts is sharply criticized. For me a wonderful nostalgic look back to the 70s, of the films of the real Bruce Lee.
This is certainly a very worthy memorial to Bruce, who passed away much too young.
Everything also in the style of these films.
