Ayyappanum Koshiyum plot
Koshy, an ex-Havildar (sergeant), is on his way to Ooty with his driver Kumaran. Koshy is drunk and nearly faints in the back seat of the car with a suitcase full of alcohol. They chose to take the Attappadi route, which they were unaware of was an alcohol-free region. There the car is stopped during a routine traffic control, a combined action by the police and customs. They find the alcohol in the car and the excise officers reprimand Koshy. Koshy is annoyed by the comments and attacks an excise officer. Ayyappan Nair, a senior officer serving at the Attappadi Police Station, arrests Koshy. Ayyapan is an honest police officer and Koshy has good political connections. Their egos collide and neither of them intend to give up.
