"Earth just got its final warning!"
The government agency SETI needs the help of codebreaker and alien hunter Julian Rome. He must travel to Antarctica to help a group of researchers who are visited by a huge alien object that is transmitting powerful, unknown codes. Julian sees the assignment as a distinct opportunity to get his life and career back on track and perhaps even cement his relationship with his ex-fiancée Kate, one of the researchers. As Julian deciphers the code bit by bit, he discovers its hidden but terrifying meaning.
