Journalist Rebecca Scott [Emmanuelle Vaugier] is surprised when FBI agent John Nelson [Cuba Gooding Jr.] informs her that her husband [Ty Hungerford] has recently been murdered. As far as he knew, he had been dead for years. Intrigued by this mystery, she decides to help Nelson in his search for the murderer. The main suspect is the filthy rich Ronald Osterberg [Chris Betts], the troublemaker is chief inspector Hendricks [Evert McQueen], who is not looking forward to any involvement from the FBI, let alone from a journalist. Trenchard-Smith keeps the pace going with a few nice action scenes and especially Gooding Jr. (far too good for this kind of routine work) delivers solid work, but the screenplay does not rely on logic or credibility. On a drizzly weekday evening, this is quite watchable.
