Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter plot
"Are you a patriot or a vampire?"
Indiana, 1818. Nine-year-old Abraham Lincoln witnesses the murder of his mother by a supernatural being; a vampire. Ten years later, he tries to kill his mother's killer, but fails. He becomes an apprentice to Henry Sturgess, who teaches him what it takes to kill a vampire. Abraham moves to Springfield. He works and studies and hunts vampires at night. He marries Mary Todd. He is president for several years, when he finds out that there are vampires in the Confederate army. He starts a campaign to stop this.

How do you make up such a stupid movie?
Personally, I find it an insult to Lincoln that he is being used for such rubbish.
Not at all funny, exciting or in any way interesting.
Granted. ... the actor is very similar to Abraham Lincoln. Hence my vote of 1.5.

Especially taken because of the name Tim Burton to find out that he is only a producer and the film is directed by one Bekmambetov. Something that doesn't have to be decisive, but the rest of the film does in a negative sense.
I wonder who comes up with something like this. The absolute opposite of an action hero or at all appealing someone in the form of Abe Lincoln who suddenly has a double agenda and gets rid of vampires while wielding an axe. Apart from the fact that this concept doesn't appeal to me at all, I think Benjamin Walker is just such a dull prick who doesn't do much for me and with that the film actually stranded with his concept that might have seemed funny or funny...? Yes, say it. And then the character Sturges due is insufficiently explained in my opinion.
Well the special effects look quite nice, and some of the fight scenes are quite nice. However, such a fight in the middle of the herd of horses I find very tiring. The bit of Civil War is nice too and Rufus Sewell is always worth a look as is lovely Winstead. But otherwise Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter can mainly be described as not very special, let's say on the mediocre and not worth enough. No this was not my thing.
