Zendaya would jump at the chance to return to the Dune universe should Dune: Messiah get made.
Since 2021, Zendaya has played Chami in the Dune universe, starting with Dune: Part One and then Dune: Part Two which will be released in 2024.
Dune: Part One included the plot of around half of the epic novel written by Frank Herbert, while Part Two will focus on the second half. Frank Herbert continued the series with Messiah, and the assumption is that director Denis Villeneuve and the relevant cast will return for Part Three.
And, Zendaya says she is ready for the call.
"Would we be down? I mean, of course," she told Fandango.
"Anytime Denis calls it's a yes from me, at least. I'm excited to see what happens. I started Messiah and I was like, 'Woah, I'm only shooting the first movie. Let me just go back to the first one.' It's so much to take in, and I think there are no better hands with better care and love for it than him (Villeneuve).
"I'm just excited to see (Part Two)" … It's just anticipation.
"Whenever he is ready. I know he's a perfectionist in many ways and doesn't want to share things unless he's fully ready to do that. So respecting that and waiting until he's ready."

Dune: Part Two
The first movie featured an ensemble cast that included Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.
That already-impressive cast list has gotten even stronger for the sequel, with Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Ley Seydoux and Austin Butler just a few of the new names along for the ride.
The official premise reads:
'This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavours to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.'
It will be released in February of 2024.
