Keanu Reeves insists John Wick: Chapter 4 has presented the most gruelling challenge of his career so far.
The John Wick series tells the story of an assassin who comes out of retirement to be once again embroiled in the criminal underworld after his dog is killed.
The franchise has become famed for its spectacular, highly-choreographed fight sequences and Chapter 4 is the most ambitious entry in the series yet.
"'John Wick 4' is the hardest movie I've ever made," he said at the CCXP convention in Brazil.
"In terms of action, it's the hardest film I've ever made. But that's what makes it good. There's a lot of people that are coming after (Wick), and there (are) a lot of different kinds of scenes that are fun in the action."
Reeves revealed that a key sequence will take place in and around the Paris traffic at the Arc de Triomphe.
How will the John Wick franchise end?
Director Chad Stahelski insists that the franchise will likely not have a happy ending due to the turmoil that Wick has went through.
"John may survive all this shit but at the end of it, there's no happy ending. He's got nowhere to go," he said in an interview with IndieWire.
"Honestly, I challenge you right now, here's a question to you: How do you fucking want me to end it? Do you think he's going to ride off into the fucking sunset? He's killed 300 fucking people and he's just going to , everything's okay?
"He's just going to fall in love with a love interest? If you're this fucking guy, if this guy really exist, how is this guy's day going to end? He's fucked for the rest of his life. It's just a matter of time."
As well as Reeves, John Wick 4 stars Laurence Fishburne, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Scott Adkins, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ian McShane, Shamier Anderson and Rina Sawayama.
