Movie fans have been given a first look of Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Furiosa.
The action epic will star Anya Taylor-Joy as the title character, who was portrayed by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road.
Furiosa will act as a prequel to Fury Road and will tell the story of how the character made her way into the clutches of the villain of the first movie, Immortan Joe.
The official synopsis reads:
"As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home."
It is unclear at this point which character Hemsworth will be playing, though some fans have predicted that he may be playing a younger version of Immortan Joe, the tyrant of Mad Max: Fury Road.
However, what is clear is that we will see the Australian as we have never seen him before, as leaked photos show him with long, black, scraggly hair, a grey beard and even a prosthetic nose.

Theron not returning as Furiosa
Though Theron was arguably the most popular thing in Fury Road, the fact the next film is a prequel means that we won't be seeing her reprise the role, at least not in Furiosa.
The actress has previously expressed her disappointment at not getting to return as the hero.
"It’s a tough one to swallow," she told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Listen, I fully respect George, if not more so in the aftermath of making Fury Road with him. He’s a master, and I wish him nothing but the best. Yeah, it’s a little heartbreaking, for sure. I really love that character, and I’m so grateful that I had a small part in creating her.
"She will forever be someone I think of and reflect on fondly. Obviously, I would love to see that story continue, and if he feels like he has to go about it this way, then I trust him in that manner. We get so hung up on the smaller details that we forget the thing that we emotionally tap into has nothing to do with that minute thing that we’re focusing on."
