Pierce Brosnan says he was "overwhelmed" when he joined the cast of Black Adam.
The official premise for the movie reads as:
'After nearly five thousand years of imprisonment, Black Adam, an antihero from the ancient city of Kahndaq, is unleashed into modern times. His brute tactics and way of justice attract the attention of the Justice Society of America, who tries to stop his rampage, teach him how to be a hero more than a villain, and must team up to stop a force more powerful than Adam himself.'
Brosnan plays Dr Fate in Black Adam, an eventual ally of the title character. Following the movie's release, he was the focus of a lot of praise from critics for his performance.
And, it seems the man himself was honoured to be part of the project.
"I've always loved the comic book genre and I love these movies," he told The Daily Express.
"They're spectacular, so to be part of 'Black Adam' is just monumental. When I was offered this role I was so overjoyed, so overwhelmed, really."
Brosnan's Dr Fate problems in Black Adam
Unfortunately for Brosnan, he didn't get to see plenty of the action the viewers enjoyed in Black Adam, as his helmet left him completely blind!
"The helmet was just like putting a bucket on your head. It was pitch black in there," he added.
"Yet, I had faith they would make me look magnificent as Dr. Fate."
