Amy Adams has revealed that Warner Bros. has not approached her to return as Lois Lane in any upcoming Superman or DC Extended Universe movies.
This summer, DC sent fans into a frenzy when Superman appeared in a post-credits scene in Black Adam. Afterwards, Henry Cavill confirmed that his return as Clark Kent / Superman was not a one-off and that he would be appearing in future movies as the world's most famous hero.
Adams portrayed Lane in Man of Steel and The Justice League, and so the assumption is that she will return as Superman's love interest alongside Cavill.
But, there have been no negotiations on that front as of yet.
"They haven’t spoken to me about it. If it’s me, great," she told Variety.
"If it’s somebody else, the role of Lois has been filled by so many wonderful actresses in the past so I’ll support whatever direction they go.”
Commenting on Cavill's return, she said:
"Isn't it exciting? I think I heard from my husband actually.
"I'm thrilled for him, he's such a wonderful Superman, so I'm very excited for him."
