Hero/Heroine (56% chance of survival!)
This character is usually female, tall, dark haired, and virginal. The heroine is never a part of the scene with the requisite horror movie nudity, and she uses her wits to defeat the monster/killer in the end, though, of course, he never really dies. She is the person that will undoubtedly last through the whole movie, because she is probably the first character introduced and the only one with unabashedly perfect moral values and in immense force of will. However, if brought back in a sequel her acquired knowledge of said villain may get her killed (See: The Horror Aficionado).
Ik was nochtans liever de moordenaar geweest, maar soit.

Black Guy (46% chance of survival!)
Look, I think the whole "the black guy always dies first" stereotype in horror films is just awful. In fact, the black guy usually dies second. So cheer up. The black guy is the one who always wants to turn back; who thinks that what the rest of the gang is doing is crazy. In other words, he's the sane guy. It's always a shame to see the black guy get cut down, because he's almost always right and you know that the group's going to just go charging right in without him.
yeah right.

valt wel mee, heb mezelf altijd al gezien als iemand die op een heldhaftige manier de wereld zou redden van de zombies, maar tenslotte toch zou sterven

The Horror Aficionado
54% chance of survival!
Sometimes known as "the wise guy" or "the totally platonic best friend". This character is usually either the most likeable or most excruciatingly annoying character in the movie, because he's almost always the comic relief (or lack thereof). Sometimes he is the first to die because he figures out what's going on, tries to escape and is killed. However, the horror aficionado will more likely use his knowledge to devise the plan that eliminates the threat. That means he survives until the end where he ends up dying as a sacrifice so that the heroine can carry out the plan. Though he tends to lack a backbone, you do feel somewhat bad when he dies.

The Killer
64% chance of survival!
You would think the hero/heroine would out survive the villain, but that's rarely the reality in a horror film. Sure, when they tossed your body through that meat grinder and cooked your severed head in battery acid it looked like you were done for good, but the chances of the killer staying dead forever are extremely slim. Ok, so you'll probably be stabbed, shot, burned, run over and even exorcised at some point but as the star of the movie, you'll always find a way to come back.

Heroes/Heroines you could learn something from: Ben, Night of the Living Dead; Peter, Dawn of the Dead; Laurie Strode, Halloween; and Ash, Evil Dead I, Dead II, and Army of Darkness.
Nou, klopt aardig.
