Binnen de lijst is Paris, Texas het meest gestegen en Mr. Smith Goes to Washington het meest gedaalt.

Het eerste jaar dat ik geen gebruik meer hoef te maken van mijn 4-sterrenlijst.

Mooie lijst, TOR. Kan ik wel wat tips uit halen denk ik.

Mooi inderdaad, ik zou ook Before Sunrise en Before Sunset niet zomaar op één lijn zetten. Ook de Toy Story's niet. Slechts bij LOTR is dat geoorloofd

Veel to see-films, zelfs de films die je eruit gegooid hebt.

Prachtige lijst TOR. Veel mooie films en je kunt er inderdaad veel tips uit halen. Ook wel zo ongeveer rond mijn smaakpatroon.

En het maakt me erg blij dat er tenminste iemand is die de allereerste (en allerbeste) Pixar(s) zo kan waarderen.

Ook van mij maar weer een update dan. Wordt wel steeds lastiger met een immer groeiende 4.5* lijst.

Hoe kan een mens nou honderd favoriete films rangschikken?

Ik had al moeite met de volgorde van mijn top 10 films.

(die ik momenteel niet heb, komt wel weer eens)

Precies, voor mij ook onmogenlijk.

Prachtige lijst Rob. Adaptation is wel behoorlijk gezakt trouwens, maar ik ga binnenkort ook eens proberen een top 100 te maken. Heb het eerder al eens geprobeerd, maar toen werd het niks. Te veel wijzigingen is korte tijd, maar ik hoop binnenkort een mooie lijst samen te kunnen stellen.

Erg eenvoudig. Je neemt er twee en weegt ze tegen elkaar af. Dan neem je een derde en kijk je waar die thuishoort. Dan neem je een vierde etc etc etc.

Na een tijdje heb je er 100.

Ik heb twee manieren om een top 100 te maken:

1) Ik selecteer eerst de 100 films die ik mijn top 100 wil hebben en dan constant de minste film uit die lijst. Zo begin ik dus bij 100 en eindig ik bij 1 (al gebruik ik deze methode vooral voor muziek).

2) Ik maak een csv-export van al mijn 5* en 4,5* (en in mijn geval ook 4*), Ik scroll door de lijst en pik dan 8 a 10 titels die ik het beste vindt. Vervolgens rangschik ik deze en dan pik na een tijdje weer wat extra films voor in de lijst.

Een perfecte lijst wordt het natuurlijk nooit, maar het is zeker te doen.

Mooie top 100 Onderhond. Mizu no Onna je beste 4.5 film?

Yups, al begin ik wel te merken dat het voor een hele hoop films al lang geleden is dat ik ze gekeken heb.

Ach gut, wat stom. Ik zou serieus eens beginnen aan het maken van een persoonlijke top 100 en nam als uitgangspunt mijn #1 om vervolgens steeds mijn hele stemmenlijst te doorzoeken om er een #2, #3 etc. aan toe te voegen. Duurde niet lang voordat er al geen bal meer van klopte natuurlijk, hoezo nogal simpel 'nagedacht'...

Ik zal ook eens proberen om een top 100 te maken.

Edit: Lol! Ik zou zweren dat dit mijn eerste post in deze topic was, maar kwam zojuist een eerdere top-100 van mijzelf tegen. Geheel toevallig op 2 dagen na nog exact een jaar geleden ook! Geinig om te zien dat veel films nog ongeveer op dezelfde plaats staan, blijkbaar is zo'n lijstje dan toch redelijk betrouwbaar.

Binnen de lijst is Casablanca het meest gestegen en Fight Club het sterkst gedaald.

Erg mooi, Goodfella, vooral goed van de respectabele plaats die Ratatouille heeft verworven. Ook al veel to-see's.

Ik ben arrogant genoeg om mezelf toe te staan om Before Sunrise en Before Sunset op één lijn te mogen zetten. En zelfs Toy Story 1 en 2!

Maar even serieus, om ruimte over te houden zet ik vervolgen altijd bij het origineel, tenzij ik niet alle vervolgen ongeveer even goed vind, zoals bij Indiana Jones bijvoorbeeld.

De films die ik eruit gegooid heb zijn dan ook zeker niet slecht! Ze hebben gewoon pech. Films die uit de lijst vallen kunnen overigens ook later weer terugkeren. Psycho en The Jungle Book overkwam dat dit jaar bijboorbeeld.

Mijn top 100 bevat natuurlijk niet gigantisch onbekende titels, al wil ik wel wat meer bekendheid geven aan Rękopis Znaleziony w Saragossie (oftewel The Saragossa Manuscript).

Mooie top 100 ook van Goodfella_90, maar dat verwachtte ik niet anders. Met name in de eerste helft van de lijst staan films die ik ook gebruik Ook maar 10 films uit die lijst heb ik niet gezien.

Netjes! Ik bij jou 25, maar ruim de helft daarvan heb ik 'toevallig' al in bezit om eens te gaan zien.

Na een paar mooie lijsten hier gezien te hebben, heb ik ook geprobeerd een top 100 te maken, maar dat is verdraaide lastig. Eerst de vijf sterren erin, daarna vier en een half en nog een paar vier sterren. Nu denk ik dat een paar vier sterren films na herziening behoorlijk hoger komen te staan. Met name There Will be Blood, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Sen to Chihiro, Punch-Drunk Love en Vertigo. Dat is nog even afwachten. Hier is de lijst tot nu toe. Het klopt niet helemaal en niet alles staat misschien op de goede volgorde, maar het is wel een mooi fundament voor toekomstige veranderingen.

Puike lijst HJ, veel raakvlakken! Ook al overschat je een aantal films en heb je Casablanca blijkbaar nog niet vaak genoeg gezien.

Ik heb mijn post van zoeven overigens drastisch aangepast na het verrijken van extra bewijsmateriaal.

@ The One Ring

Het valt me nu op dat bij jou, net als bij mij, de Kubricks en met name Hitchcocks nogal wat terrein verloren hebben (ook al is het 'marktaandeel' nog steeds enorm) en ook de westerns niet langer zeker zijn van hun hoge noteringen. Tevens geinig om te zien hoe de nieuw binnenkomende Wilder's erg hoog in je lijst eindigen, terwijl de reeds bekende Wilder's bij jou een stuk gedaald zijn. Verder lijken de Coens al het nieuwe geweld in je lijst redelijk eenvoudig te overleven, is Frank Capra een beetje de schlemiel van de lijst en lijkt Paul Thomas Anderson aan een enorme opmars bezig te zijn binnen jouw smaak!

De 3e mooie top 100 in 2 dagen, HarmJan Je top 10 blijft de mooiste samenvatting van je gevarieerde smaak. Ook al vind ik die andere 2 net iets gevarieerder

Dankje (iedereen trouwens ). Toevallig dat je Casablanca noemt. Zat vanavond nog te denken over wanneer ik die film maar weer eens moet herzien. Die is dus zeker binnenkort aan de beurt en ik hoop dat ik dan mijn eerste positieve verandering in de top 100 moet maken Ik hou alles denk ik gewoon bij en dan volgt een update over een half jaar ofzo.

Inderdaad, mooie lijsten Goodfella en HarmJan

Ik vind dit wel meevallen. Bij mij in ieder geval. Kubrick heeft een film verloren, maar de andere 6 houden zich goed staande. Oké, ze dalen iets, maar dat komt ook omdat ik gewoon meer films zie op een soortgelijk niveau. Mijn grootste probleem met Kubrick is dat ik nu al 3 jaar door zijn films heen ben en hij daarom van mij nauwelijks nog aandacht krijgt.

Hitchcock heeft zelfs winst gemaakt. Geen film van hem ging uit de lijst en Psycho kwam erbij. Maar net als bij Kubrick ben ik met Hitchcock bijna klaar. Al zijn bekende titels heb ik bijna gezien.

klopt allemaal wel, maar Andersons opmars is helaas wel al voorbij, aangezien ik al zijn films intussen gezien heb. Toch is hij voor mij onbetwist de 'sterregisseur van het jaar' te noemen. Spielberg is overigens de grootste verliezer van het jaar met 3 films uit de lijst en geen nieuwe erbij.

Van HarmJans lijst moet ik 14 titels nog zien. Het is een lijst met extremen voor mij. Een aantal absolute favorieten van mij staan er in, maar ook een aantal werkjes waar ik echt helemaal niets mee heb. Maar over de gehele lijn bekeken een fijne lijst.

Ik heb me ook eens gewaagd aan een top 100, na de prachtige lijsten van The One Ring, Goodfella en HarmJan gezien te hebben. Ik merk dat het inderdaad verrekte lastig is om een dergelijke lijst te maken. Daar komt nog eens bij kijken dat ik sommige films twee jaar geleden voor het laast gezien heb. Mijn persoonlijke top 100:
