"Growing up is an adventure"
It's the fall of 1985. The life stories of three fifth-year students, Chris, Joe and Shrimp, unfold in the small town of Palo Alto. Chris encounters a corpse while traveling with his father to Yosemite. His classmate, Joe, left home alone, befriends a lonely drifter who introduces him to the world of comic books. Meanwhile, Shrimp discovers that his cat has been mauled by a cougar. He manages to persuade his friends to take revenge and hunt the beast.
