De Dwaze Zoon plot

In De Dwaze Zoon, filmmaker Matte Mourik examines his hereditary involvement in the Zorreguieta case. In 2001 his father, Maarten Mourik, poet and diplomat, filed a complaint against Máxima's father, then still the fiancée of Prince Willem Alexander. As a result, Jorge Zorreguieta was absent from the princely wedding. Maarten Mourik has since passed away and Zorreguieta has a second home in the Netherlands. Should Matte Mourik follow in his father's footsteps? He looks for the answer to that question in himself, in Dutch-Argentine Alejandra Slutzky and in a reconstruction of the Zorreguieta case in the Dutch media.
